Cotton Jersey / Stretch

Jersey is a knit fabric, mostly used for clothing, eg tops, dresses, skirts, pajamas, leggings etc. Jersey is a stretch fabric usually and varies in weight and amount of stretch. For garments such as tops a light weight jersey is fine, but at times may need lining, for medium / heavy weight (approx. 200gsm plus) these are better for leggings and tighter clothing. Jersey tends to curl at the edges when cut too.

When we say stretch fabric, it is usually a fabric where we are not 100% sure of the type of fabric, we do however put suggested ideas on our listings, e.g. if it states  ideal for lining (this is usually a lightweight / see through stretch), Stretch fabrics are great for clothing. Drape, weight and texture varies.
